- Where are you from, whats the leftist scene there like?

I've lived in Portland, Or for about a year. This is anarchistland, meaning that there is nothing currently going on here that even stands a chance to pose a threat to the capitalist ruling class dictatorship, but reactionaries aplenty.

- What branch of leftism do you subscribe to?

I'm a freethinking Maoist without a party who believes that what Bob Avakian has concentrated into a body of works represents the most in-depth and correct understanding of the nature of the capitalism and what needs to be done to eliminate it.

- How did you become a leftist?

I grew up in extreme poverty in the buybull belt. I was witness to the hell that is brought to reality for the majority of humanity by this rotten capitalist system. I had to figure out a lot of problems. I asked a lot of questions internally and verbally and somewhere along the line I discovered the superiority of the scientific method and developed confidence in my ability to solve problems.

Don't expect a terrible lot of sympathy here.

Welcome.

eh?

Says the man who thinks the working class knows or even gives a rat's ass about "Glorious Leader" Bobby Avakian.

If you are a Maoist, Join Kasama instead of the RCP

I don't believe that poor people, in general, know about Bob Avakian. I believe that the RCP makes horrible errors in many ways regarding how they frame the leadership and PR issues more broadly that have led to them not building a base. They would never take me as a member so as long as I'm not, what essentially amounts to saying that Bob Avakian is genetically superior to the rest of us and that none of us could possibly pass a Bob Avakian test.

As for Kasma, they're basically anarchists from what I can tell. There are several, if not many, valid criticisms of the RCP and they put up the junk about them that they do. The intellectual poverty is apparent to me. I'm not drawn to the RCP based on anything other than the fact that what they have to say about the nature of this system and what needs to be done to eliminate it is clearly on a whole other level than anything I've come across in my vast studies. Many groups could throw a revolution, but unless you have leadership with proper vision then all you do is end up serving the interests of the capitalist ruling class.

That's nothing new there...
It's (either explicit or implicit) of Marxist-Leninism.

We have some Kasama Project members and they wouldn't consider themselves anarchists and I doubt they are close to anarchism in any sense.

I see

Well then welcome to revleft
