I must say that this documentary, The Guardians of Rome, is an excellent depiction of Rome as a class society, something which documentaries generally lack. It is also showing the city from the perspective of the firemen/policemen, the freedmen known as vigiles.

Good that this came out. There have been way too much romantization of rome... You know, since it was a big empire it must have been a good place.
