Any chance I can get my opponents to give me amnesty if I fuck up?

The negotiations center around the San Jose Accord, which calls for Mr. Zelaya's reinstatement until his term ends, as well as amnesty for him and the coup leaders. The de facto government previously rejected this plan.

The fact that Zelaya was willing to negotiate in the first place demonstrated the failure of his approach. Hopefully the popular resistance groups will reject any such absurd terms and move the country more towards truly revolutionary change.

The reason for giving them amnesty is this: If the coup-leaders try to set up a televisionstation, Zelaya will denie them the rights, and everybody will think he is a dictator. We've seen the same story in another south American country where someone survived a coup.....

You mean civil war?

I mean revolution. Negotiating a return with the coup leaders is accepting the legitimacy of the coup itself, and considering the nature of the coup (pro-US, pro-Chiquita, etc.) I would say it would be a betrayal of the people to not stand up against it.
