hmm, I haven't read any lengthy biographies on Fidel, but I've done an amazon search for you. The first one is the lengthiest (over 700 pages, I'd go with that book)
~Fidel: : A Critical Portrait (this one looks good) (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0380808889/qid=1058849307/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1/002-0674601-9868028)
~My Early Years (written by Fidel) (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1876175079/qid=1058849307/sr=2-2/ref=sr_2_2/002-0674601-9868028)
~Inside the Cuban Revolution: Fidel Castro and the Urban Underground (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0674008480/qid=1058849307/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/002-0674601-9868028?v=glance&s=books)
~Castro (Profiles in Power) (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0582437474/qid=1058849307/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/002-0674601-9868028?v=glance&s=books)
~War, Racism and Economic Justice: Global Apartheid and the World Economic Order (not a biograpghy, but it was written by Fidel) (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1876175478/qid=1058849307/sr=1-3/ref=sr_1_3/002-0674601-9868028?v=glance&s=books)
~Castro'S Final Hour (about after the soviet withdrawl from Cuba after their colapse) (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0671872990/qid=1058849307/sr=1-4/ref=sr_1_4/002-0674601-9868028?v=glance&s=books)
~Guerrilla Prince: The Untold Story of Fidel Castro (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0316308935/qid=1058849307/sr=1-5/ref=sr_1_5/002-0674601-9868028?v=glance&s=books)
~On Imperialist Globalization (not a biography either, but written by Fidel) (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1842772694/qid=1058849307/sr=1-6/ref=sr_1_6/002-0674601-9868028?v=glance&s=books)
I think that this is enough for now ;)

Whichever one Tad Szulc wrote is the best one.
Guerilla Prince is also really good.
