A Used Les Paul Bass

Sunburst, unknown age, seems to be in good shape, corrosion on frets approx $200 US. Should I buy it? There's an epiphone Les bass, but it's $300.

I personally find them atrocious shapes for basses, and if I remember correctly, they don't sound too exceptional.

Is it going to be your first bass? If so, it's not a bad price at all, but you'd have to get a shop to fix it up which would cost at least another $80 I'm thinking.
