HE said it WASNT for kids.

Man that is sick! I like Harry Potter, leave it to some ppl who have nothing better to do and write up some things like that I guess.

Oh and the fifth book is full of political issues that remind of the US, like all the censorship in it...but eiteh5r way...SICK!

Yes. that part is certainly most appealing to me. i thoroughly enjoyed the book.

I cringe when someone says that harry potter is for small children. The silly story of magic is just a mask.

It is sad to see that people are using the characters of Harry Potter for their twisted fantasies.

bahaha, I think that's hilarious. Atleast now the grownups won't feel bad for fantacising about the young lad in the movies ;)

Felicia, that link is what were talking about... it was the first thing posted up in this thread...

Yeah I hate how the movies made Harry Potter look as if it really was for kids, that really sucked...

You really think that the parts about magic are just a mask? I doubt it, I think shes all about the magic, but not for the book to be made for the kiddies

I fucking hate Harry Potter. I read the first 2 books and thought they were shit. At the Mariners game the other night our section won free Harry Potter books. I threw mine on to the field when Ichiro struck out.

Well, a little bit like Animal Farm was, I think it is. Just a little more for the young.

If you thought Harry Potter was shit...Why did you pick up to read the second one?

To confirm its shittiness, mate

or to find out if love blossoms between Hermione and Harry

Actually, that's a good point. I started it on a plane because I didn't have anything else, then I just finished it. I have a hard time quitting a book after I've started.

That was first started By Edgar Allen Poe, who ended each chapter in such a way that you had to read on. It has a technical name, but I got shitfaced and forgot it!

Actually i read something rather funny a few weeks ago in the paper (the free paper in RI). Well anyway, it was Called HARRY POTTER MAY BE QUEER IN THE BRODEST SENSE. Althought it doent sound as though it would be very good, it was a really funny article, and they made a good case. I thought it was funny though at the end of the article they said "after all, he did spend the early years of his life in the closet..." oh well. Funny!

I like the books, they are childrens books in essance, yet they have many factors that are appealing to adults. I believe that when you read about the rise of Lord Voldemort you can see a parody of the rise of Hitler etc. Also the 5th book reminds me of the appesment policy of Chamberlin etc.

Good book, people who refuse to read them because they see them as children's books are missing out.

argh.... I'm dying knowing that I'm never gonna see a sex scene with Emma Watson as Hermoine....
(Don't give me shit for being a paedophile, I don't consider 17 too much of an age difference).

Something wrong with the quotes? I'm obsessive compulsive so this bothers me.
