Is it wrong for a socialist to read/purchase a capitalistic book. By buying that book you are helping corporations to amas greater wealth, as well as the author. Take for example J.K.Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, she is richer than the queen, so is it right to by her books?
Its probably a stupid question, however I was lightly musing over it just before a bought the new one.

I too am reading Rand (or I was, I got 250 pages into it and put it down to read Lenin by Service I plan to finish it before summer ends though) except I am reading Atlas Shrugged. As far as buying or not try and borrow the really popular books like Harry Potter from one of the crew or a library, if that doesnt work buy away. If we all stopped buying stuff the economy would be crippled and workers would be worse off then before.

I hate Harry Potter, I wouldn't advise spending money on that. But reading is a plus, on the otherhand it is teaching kids to follow trends like idiots.
You can find a lot of books on the internet, I usually don't buy them unless they are impossible to get without paying or if I don't mind giving the author some money.

What?!
I don't like films like that, which are based on whizz bang special effects.
