I was watching this video on redtube where a guy ALMOST gets dragged away by a riot cop... he kind of slumps and does his best to be dragged without hitting the guy but slow his ass from arresting him, gets dragged past a pole, a car, till he gets rescued by other protester.

so what if before going to a protest,
what if you purchased 2 pair handcuffs, attach one to left wrist, one to right, hide the other ends up your long sleeve where you can get at them...

now when you get dragged past something, suprise!!! now you can't move me fucker.

no make it, two 2 foot long lengths of something like plastic zip tie fashioned like cuffs, so there's a wider loop you can pull out of your sleeve.

you'de have to dry run with a friend as cop a few times but that takes 1 hr. , figure how to hide it up your sleeve and wip it out fast and overcome other problems.. clothes pin maybe?

you can load them with rocks halfway. now you have a heavy object on wheels to push against riot cops, let fly at them, or just a basket of shit to throw and take with you.

not all cuffs take the same key. though, i have no idea how you'd go about checking to make sure the cops in the area didn't have cuffs keys that match your cuffs.

on second though, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't. if the cuff/key sets that were available to civilians matched the cuff/key sets used by the police, that would probably be much better for us then for them if you catch my meaning. :laugh:

Well I have seen handcuff keys made to be hidden on your person for just such a situation. From wikipedia:

I do not wish to play the "who's a narc?" game but when somebody first talks about strategies for resisting arrest(illegal) and then makes vague references about committing acts of violence, encouraging people to carry concealed weapons to protests presumably to use against cops, I start to wonder. I wish the more nonviolent stuff to be listed on a forum where people can see... ways of say disrupting a police line. It strikes me that technical details like this are not well thought out... cheap ways to win out against them, without trying to EMP them or whatever that post was about. a resource with the cheapest gas mask that is durable, etc., or detailed instructions on building a cheap gas mask. maybe bring a trash can full of marbles, like in animal house, hey, it sounds stupid but if one guy does it and positions correctly (downhill) it might work. How. what ways, can a more sustained barrage of missles be directed at a police line, cuz 4 dudes chunking rocks never works against those shields. 80 rocks every 5 seconds will work tho, and there is a way to do it, if you just sit down and think with a pencil and paper

I was on a sit down protest 2 months ago and a great thing that ended up working was poster we had laminated. Originally we had them just for the press to see them put when the pigs came in to move us we decided to start placing them on the ground in front of us. That way when they stood on them they slipped all over the place when grabbing us.
Also we had a big banner that we eventually got over our legs so the pigs couldn't grab our legs easily and could secure ourselves better.

An idea that I had that I'm sure we should try is baby oil on your legs so the pigs can't get a grip on your legs.

I seen a great plan for home made gas masks made from 2lt plastic bottles and a rag. Will try to find it and post it if its ok with mods?

Anyway, that's a really good idea. Also, shave your legs before a protest to decrease wind resistance when you run. It also makes it easier to apply said baby oil.
