Not at all. The army is still in control. Just because there main base got attacked doesn't mean they are losing control of the whole country. They won back the Swat Valley and I can't see them losing it again. Oh and their atomic bombs will never fall into Taliban hands. The US will have them long before the Taliban. I'm surprised the US haven't taking them off Pakistan already.

I am not well informed about it, but I can't see the taliban controlling the whole of pakistan. Much of this type of discussion, in my mind is meant to rally support for the GWOT.

The US will not take the Pakistani nukes. That would mean nuclear inbalance between Pakistan and India, whom both are already fighting in Kashmir. If India were to be brave enough to launch an assault in Pakistan, US would lose an important ally. Ofcourse India will never attack even if Pakistan did lose their nukes, because India will not take the risk of U.S. intervention. I doubt that the US will calculate it that far however.
