If the original meaning of this post was to "teach" us the "horrors" of soviet-union, you have not read that article very carefully.

About the famine: If one reads the article carefully, one notices how the famine, if even artificial, was the direct cause of the surpreme soviet in moscow, and it's decision to forcefully draw grain from Ukraine. The argument here seems to be that if we support soviet-system, we support atrocities like these. Needless to say such conclusions are infantile, ridiculous at best. Not all Leninists support any kind of surpreme soviet, quite a few actually actively seek it as far as I understand. What we support is soviet democracy in which all power is handed to the soviets. In this particular example the famines would have been avoided by such arrangements, due to the most propable fact that the Ukrainian warnings would have been heard. This on the other hand is because the Ukrainian soviets would have had all the power.

About the great terror: Another fallacious attack on Leninists, which is refuted with ease by anyone with a brain. Clearly another personal quirk of Stalin, and perhaps some of his closest advisors. It is absolutely ridiculous to expect such actions from modern communists simply because modern communists don't have Stalin in their ranks. Why? Well, because Stalin is dead.

This argument too seems to follow the logic: Stalin killed alot of dudes ---> There are people who don't hate Stalin ---> These people want to kill alot of dudes.

Libertarian communism doesn't have any class struggle?

It's a bit funny how for some people it seems much more reasonable that communists created an artificial famine to kill people rather than assume that the rich guys weren't all that happy with the reforms.

People living off of others' labor *and* not caring how others fare?
Inconceivable!
