I am in the midst of reading the classic novel For Whom The Bell Tolls. For those who have read it, what do you think of it?
Ahhh a novel by the guy with the simple sentences but amazing story/plot/theme development eh? Ernest Hemmingway. That's it. I have heard of it, but have yet to read any of his work.

I love Hemingway, I'm trying to read a few things at once, but I'll try to read it soon.

I have read it. It was a great book, the main character, Robert Jorden, was living the romantic revolutionary/ freedom-fighter life. Incredible story, coupled with amazing characte and plot depovment make it one of the greatest books I have every read. I think it was FWTBT was the reason he won the noble prize liturature in 1954

Yes Hemmingway is a giant, I read this sometime ago, all his work is staggering, I find his prose can be deceptivley simplistic but powerfully evocative. I love the old man and the sea.

Great book! A book you gotta read... The song by Metallica isn't bad either!
