I was thinking, it might be cool to have a Rev Left book club...
Im thinking like, one book a week, and on a sunday or monday or whenever, we discuss it... obviously books with a leftist or anarchist or any appropriate theme (e.g a book by someone like Chuck Palahniuk or Charles Bukowski and NOT somthing like Agatha Christie or Jackie Collins or some shit)...

What you think???

I really think we should first try our darnedest to start a book club in our own local communities.

Not to preach! But it is pretty easy, just talk to your friends and ask them to ask their friends. Its fun.

I think a book club would be a really cool idea. I would start one in community but it's kind of difficult in my community since it's small right-wing town. But I think maybe we should have a little longer to read them because of jobs ,school, and things like that. Plus I would probably have to order the books unless I already have them so it would take some time to ship here. Other than that though, you can count me in.

There is this book club (http://www.revleft.com/vb/group.php?groupid=217) although it is not very active.

Has some potential if we could start/revive it, but I don't know, I'm not really so much a fan, I prefer to do things more my own way when reading.

ive always been up for the idea of a book/reading club as i value others opinions, but they always seem to peter out which is shame.

Book club is a good idea. What sort of books would be be discussing?

If you're serious, why don't you propose a handful?
