i have been thinking about a lot of stuff recently; my social status, communism, materialism etc.

here is what i understood:
what happened to me was a luck. from day 1 all the material condition where against me; raised in an extremely modest neighborhood by poor parents without any form of wealth, its a fucking miracle i finally got out of povrety.

most of people are not so lucky and they are pretty much fucked, having the material condition against them, all the time.

i also learned that my class, the poor, will always be in constant opposition with the rich and middle class, they will constantly do everything possible to get more on our back. of course its not always conscient, but every time the middle class whine about taxes or that they want to abolish services, they want to diminish even more the material condition of the poor who are already pretty much fuck.

i will always fight for better living condition, more luxuries and better salary, bur force to admit those who are born in better material condition will obtain everything they like with less efforts than me.

its not a fair game, but i guess i have to continue if i want to live well.

anyway, that was my recents discoveries about materialism.

The lower class is not in option with the middle class; if middle class people had any sense they would realize that should be voting with the lower class, because whatever helps the lower class also helps them. Sadly though, there are many people in the middle class who believe that by voting with the upper class they will help their situation, which is not the case. The upper class is in opposition to everyone else. Keeping people poor and worrying about day-to-day life makes them easier to control and less likely to rise up in opposition against their living conditions.

There are many material possessions that are extremely unnecessary. Not having a lot of material items is actually a good thing, despite what modern propaganda, advertising, society, and companies trying to get you to buy their product want you to think.

You should fight for a decent salary and benefits and good living conditions; its odd to believe that one person's time is worth then another's.

However, I don't understand how this is an understanding of materialism other than 'materialism is good and therefore I want more stuff.'

the lower classes will never support the middle class.... the left grew out of the middle class, not the workers ;)
