Starting a newspaper.

Gonna do it. What kind of equipment do I need, what should I write about in it, etc?

My current plan is to kinda just write stuff, print it out, and stick it in one of those free newspaper boxes that are all over Portland.

If you don't have a lot of text you call do "wall papers".
You make newspapers like poster and you post them on the walls, stations etc. where people would read them.

You don't need any equipment at all, just some free DTP software for the layout. Your local UPS Store/Mail Boxes Etc. should be able to print it up nicely at a reasonable price, or you can just use a photocopier. You can write about whatever you want, try to keep it educational and original though.
