Old Major
4th October 2009, 18:02
I know that most intro threads are boring, so I thought I'd join in the form of Limerick.
There once was a guy called Old Major,
Who hated the Capitalist enslavers,
This forum he found,
Whilst searching around,
For a site which would be a Life saver.
For in his part of the world,
Conservatives have a stronghold,
For the UK press,
Like the Mail and Express,
Tell Lies so incredibly Bold.
He needed a breath of fresh air,
To find if there is hope elsewhere,
And he found on the net,
A site called RevLeft,
Which made him smile and say "Yeah!"
He wasn't just looking for fun,
He needs revolution to come,
It will bring peace and love,
It won't come from above,
But 'twill help all our daughters and sons.
Now we have reached the Finale,
And we'll end on a Tierce de Picardie,*
But one final thing,
Please join me to sing,
That Great Internationale.
(P.S.
No wait, I can't post a link,
For my post count must do the opposite of shrink,
I had a video to rally,
Round the Internationale,
But I can't, that rule really stinks.)
*A technique in Music where a piece in a Minor key ends in the Major.
