The Irish Congress of Trade Unions says it intends to begin a campaign of action over pay and spending cuts beginning with protests on Friday 6 November.
The protests will take place in Dublin and other areas in the country (Cork , Limerick , Galway etc) most likely .
All activists in Ireland should make it a priority to attend and intervene in the protests .
Also it is a bit relieving when the ICTU president said :''The campaign will not be suspended, even if the Government were to issue an invitation to further partnership talks.''
This is so because numourous times in the past the ICTU have called off industrial action to begin 'social partnership' talks which have lead to nothing but that of weakening the power of workers organisations.
