The preview seems to be an interesting example of embedded journalists who paint quite a negative picture of the conflict they're covering.

Even if PBS were trying to spin "Obama's War" as a positive thing in this special, it seems that they've failed. Although I'm going to assume that they see the absurdities of this conflict for what they are and are trying to highlight them.

They definitely weren't trying to spin it in a positive way. It's for sure a critical movie about modern imperialist nation building. There's a reason the corporate media never shows actual footage of what the war is like on TV. The government learned it's lesson after Vietnam.
