I'm from Kentucky (don't blame me), when I got into politics (around 3 years ago) and started looking at debates and eventually decided I was a liberal, and, as I have always been pushing myself to be more rational/knowledgeable, went farther and farther left. I'm still progressing now, I haven't been interested in socialism/anarchism/communism for very long, only about 2 months maybe.

I wouldn't consider myself revolutionary (especially not violence-oriented) and wouldn't consider myself a communist/anarchist, I think I might fit more as a democratic socialist, but maybe I'll change if I'm around here long enough. I generally don't support violence/thievery to achieve a political/economic end, aside from "obvious stuff".

Also, can someone help me with this guy (utubehayter) on the video in my signature (since I can't post links yet)?
(I'm Tyler5794) I've been debating with him for a few days, and not being completely knowledgeable and rather annoyed at how he assumes so much about what he thinks I believe, I'm getting very tired with discussing this with him. You can come onto Youtube and help me out, maybe?

Hi and welcome! :)
I'm afraid you won't achieve real socialist change without violence, the capitalists won't hand over the means of production if we just ask kindly. And the refomist parties (like the social democrats) can't change anything and they don't want to change anything anymore, they have betrayed the working class and arranged with the bourgeois long time ago. Maybe you'll soon see what I mean. ;)

Well, generally, in the U.S. at least, people who try to incite violence and revolution are looked down upon. :( And it's kind of hard to succeed with that in this country when our government spends 11 times as much as China on our military.
I think education can really go a long way, even if it's not immediate or widespread.

How do you feel about the Democratic Socialists of America?
