not sure if this is the right place for this; if not please move
Im not sure how many people on revleft work, but im sure most of us unfortunately have to live by the rules of the cappies from time to time, putting in time at shitty jobs. I work at a petrol station, dispensing fossil fuels, fags and alcohol. Its pretty grim.
But I try too keep my spirits up with small acts of resistance. Purchasers of the Daily Mail get the slowest, surlyest service possible, Guardian buyers get fast and cheerful. I refuse to say "serve" the customers, I deal with them. Suits with company cars always get a cup full of change instead of fivers ect ect. When I can get away with it I will advise customers which products are outragously expensive and which are just expensive. Im only there for 6 months, so fuck 'em. Doesn't seem like much, but it keeps one's spirits up a little through an 8 hour shift.
Does anyone else do anything similar?
