Dude codeine and weed are a pretty sweet combination. Last night was awesome. And I actually had a drug induced epiphany, which I'm going to retell now because it's been buzzing around in my head all day. I'm very stoned now too haven't not been stoned in like three days.

I realised that the sole true purpose and primary aim whenever and wherever possible of the state under socialism, i.e. the dictatorship of the proletariat (the one anarchists disagree with existence of to varying degrees), is to scientifically reorder the production and distribution of resources across the world, and above all the automation of the process of production, so as to drastically and universally reduce the amount of jobs that actually need to be performed by humans, and to utilise computerization, automization and robotics to create a situation where humans no longer need to work for an employer, and are free to develop themselves and work on whatever they wish in a post-scarcity society of complete material abundance (with the automated production system working to supply whatever humans demand, anywhere, any time, so that whatever you want (within limits of course) can be had without having to do anything other than request it). Once this society has been achieved, the phrase from each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs can truly be practiced. A society where work is seen for what it is, i.e. slavery. All forms of work are slavery, created by a capitalist system which creates scarcity, a system that cannot be directed for the purpose of bettering all of humanity but instead requires scarcity and social disparities to exist.

Once we have a post-scarcity, post-work society, humanity's existence will be totally changed. Nations will no longer be relevant. The state will be unnecessary, although of course forms of organisation will evolve, that will be democratic in the extreme. In a society where nobody ever goes without, or even can go without (the concept of 'going without' could disappear!), noone can amass more power than anyone else, as all power is is the monopolisation of more resources than somebody else. Robbery will be meaningless. Poverty will be a distant historical memory. Crime and anti-social behaviour will drastically decline.

People could lives their lives in true freedom, as they chose. They could pursue art, science, music, sport, travelling, writing, poetry, comedy or whatever else they chose, at whatever pace and in whatever direction they chose. No more commercial pressure, pressure to create a product to be 'sold' - instead, total creative freedom. With the whole idea of 'incentives' being totally irellevant, there would be no need and no way to provide incentives to drive people to succeed. Instead, people would motivate themselves by doing things they were genuinely passionate about.

As well as this, it'd mean that if you couldn't be fucked doing any of the above, you could just spend your days chilling in the sun getting blazed as fuck. With free weed on demand :-)

Revolutionaries shouldn't fetishize work, it should be seen as a necessary evil for now and an evil to be gotten rid of as soon as possible.

In this modern, developed late capitalist world, the potential exists for a rapid (in a matter of years, in theory) process of transition from the current system to one of absolute material abundance if a democratically elected, right of recall workers state draws up a scientific plan for the reorganisation of society's resources (and the natural resources society is aimed around extracting) and the social reorganisation of humanity in order to maximise production and achieve this plan. While maximising production, equal attention must be paid to eliminating work. Under capitalism, when technology improves and less workers are needed in the production process, workers are laid off and unemployment grows. Under socialism and shortly afterwards full communism, improvements in technology and computerised automization of the production process will mean that less work and less jobs need to be done by humans, freeing us of all constraints and allowing us for the first time, ever, to be free.

However, it must be stressed that this vision of the future only applies once capitalism has fallen around the world. That is a distant goal yet. History shows that revolutions tend to happen only in the poorer, less developed countries in the world, and revolutions tend to succeed in countries only in ones and twos. Such a revolution would need to direct the state appartus and the resources of the society in question towards defence and military measures to protect the revolution from hostile capitalist nations. Survilal would have to be their priority until the revolution spread to the rest of the world, and in particular the more developed parts.

Once it did spread there, the revolutionary governments of the more developed countries would direct large portions of their countries resources to building up infrastructure and resource production processes in the less developed, formerly "Third" parts of the world. This would not take long.

A world of complete freedom. Voluntary association in every respect. Never having to do anything for anyone that you did not want to do, unless you chose to do so of your own free will. No pressures of survival. A world where you could sleep in every day, eat whatever you want whenever you want every day, a world you could wake up at whatever time you wanted and do whatever you wanted, including nothing much, with your day. A fucking paradise, and if communism is possible then please let it happen in my lifetime because I really want to retire into a society like this. I just wish I could have been born into it :-(

I'm pretty sure that there are no preparations that contain both DXM and Codeine. Both DXM and Codeine are cough suppressants and you only ever see one or the other in cough syrup. Chlorphenamine maleate is an anti-histamine that you don't want to take large amounts, which is why one should stay away from robotripping with coricidin.

There's a really interesting sociological phenomena in New Zealand. Drugs are more rampant in the rich as fuck private schools, since the kids have more expendable income. A friend of mine went to a private school said like 60-70% of the school were stoners. I was like WUT since my poorer public school was like 5-10% stoners. In my opinion, get way more. 180mg will only make you feel kinda funny, a bit giggly and talking about random stuff. You won't get fucked up though. If you really and truly and honestly want to get *FUCKED* on DXM then go for about 1000mg, which is like 66 gels. (It's the trip of a life time)

I strongly recommend taking one (two, even) Benadryl or Dramamine tablet(s) to fight the nausea, because with that many gels you'll probably puke your guts out. Weed fights the nausea too.

If you don't want to be really fucked though and are just looking for a chill trip then take 600mg, that should take you to a good 2nd plateau (which is tons of fun, but personally I prefer 3rd/4th plateaus at 1000+ mg)

My friend, on the other hand, have his parents searching through his room on a constant basis for weed and told his boss that he smoked weed so he'd get fired from his job. He has to carry weed on himself now 24/7, which is a bit of a risk.

So yesterday my high brought me an awesome insight.
For years now I've been terrified with the idea of death. I've laid awake at night many many times thinking about it. Well last night my thoughts again brought me to the subject of death. I was still high as fuck from smoking earlier and thanks to that for the first time ever the thoughts didn't terrorize me. Instead, I was able to logically think about the whole thing.

After discovering how calm I was, I decided to try and find out what it is that makes me fear death so much. I don't believe in reincarnation or an afterlife, so I believe death is pretty much the end. I feared not existing anymore.
But that was not good enough for me. I decided to try and find out what it is about not existing that fears me. And then I realized that I have a visualization of death in my mind. I always subconsciously imagined this not existing as me floating in a black void not being able to see or do anything, which is a pretty sucky situation. But I realized that there is no way that this visualization could be anything close to death, because in the situation I pictured I was still alive, just without a body and a world to live in.
I tried to imagine what real death would be like, but it was impossible. The moment I die, I stop existing. There would be no "me" to experience death. There is no experience remotely similar to death which I could relate it to. No frame of reference at all. Because during our existence, there's always 1 truth: we are. there is no way for me to even begin to imagine not being. It struck me as rather silly that I spent many nights laying awake feeling terrorized by death, even though there is no way for me to understand the concept. If I can't understand the concept, then what exactly is there for me to fear?
The only thing I could fear about the concept of death is me not knowing what it is like. But I don't fear that. I don't know a lot of things, and at least with death I realize that I will never know.

So now I'm over my fear. awesome huh?

the pills didn't have mg on them but i'd guess they were 25 mg each based on a little research, so probably about 150 mg total which seemed a reasonable dose based on the link you put in the other stoner talk thread. i wasn't looking to trip, just get a buzz.

anyway for the first part of it i just felt a little weird, then i got really tired and went to lay down. that's when it got uncomfortable. i was horribly tired but couldn't sleep and i kept getting twitches and had to roll around a lot. had a general feeling of restlessness and anxiety. random thoughts and scenarios just started playing out in my head, overlapping each other and making it difficult to follow any of them. eventually i fell asleep (i think) and had some bizarre dreams. or maybe they were hallucinations, i'm not sure.

Yeah like I said DPH is terrible at low doses. You just feel confused and tired and you have random dreams that you weren't sure if they were real or not (you can't hallucinate on 150mg...).

Always take 700mg+ if you want to trip (I know you just wanted a buzz but just sum future advice). A little DXM really really REALLY amplifies it. You'll see floating heads and oceans of spiders and the whole shabang.

Dramamine is a lighter version of DPH. It's potency is half that of DPH. So if you're looking for a trip from Dramamine take about 1400mg.

3rd plat is my favourite, I really love 4th too but it's a bit too extreme.

You gotta tell me your weight, but I'm just gonna assume you have average weight (160lbs) and therefore I'd recommend 8-1000mg for a strong 3rd plat.

Also at higher plats DXM takes a huge fucking toll on your brain, so uh, don't do DXM too often.
