"czars" is something that already existed before Obama. And anyway, "czar" does not refer to communism, the Czar (I prefer the spelling Tsar) is someone the communists overthrew!

Perhaps the obsession with "czar" as something communistic is confusion with "commissar" but I gather it's just stupidity.

Obama is authoritarian as all US Presidents have been (because capitalism is by its own nature, an authoritarian system).

There's a difference between authoritarianism and totalitarianism. Totalitarianism is a dictatorship, Obama is not a dictator.

No Obama isn't a populist. When the establishment is utilising populism, it is called "triangulation" and is deemed something "high-standing".

Populism is when a politician attacks the establishment and makes himself into an agent for "the people". The arch-examples of populist politicians are Hugo Chàvez and Robert Fico for our time, and Huey Long and Benito Mussolini for all times. Julius Caesar was also a populist politician.
