Comrade Mizher: Occupation killings require a unified resistance response
Comrade Jamil Mizher denounced the Zionist occupation's criminal assassination of three Palestinian resistance fighters from Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad, on September 26, 2009, calling for all factions to form a unified resistance front that can act together to resist the occupier.
The three martyrs, Kamel Al-Dahduh, Mahmoud Al-Banna and Muhammad Marshoud, were targeted by the occupation military, who bombed their car east of Gaza City with warplanes, on Friday night, September 25, 2009. Their funeral, attended by thousands of marchers, was targeted once more for attacks by the occupation military - 12 were injured when Israeli military towers opened fire on the funeral procession.
Comrade Mizher, member of the Central Committee of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, said in an interview with the Voice of Jerusalem that the killings make it clear that the Zionist fascist occupation is continuing with its long-term series of assassinations against the Palestinian resistance. He called upon all factions to come together to form a unified resistance front and operations room to coordinate resistance to the occupier. He called upon all resistance factions to urgently come together to discuss ways to confront the Zionist crimes and protect the resistance from assassinations.
Comrade Mizher noted that this assault comes days before the scheduled resumption of national dialogue talks between factions in Cairo, noting that it is a clarion call to all to give priority to the national interest and need to end the division and confront the occupier with a united force. He went on to say that the meeting that took place in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly between Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) and occupation prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu with US President Barack Obama only serves the interests of the Israeli government and emboldens it to continue its killings and settlement construction.
Comrade Mizher concluded by saying that the fascist Netanyahu government seeks to exploit any return to so-called 'negotiations' with the Palestinian Authority in order to beautify its ugly image after its recent war crimes in Gaza, its ongoing siege, killings, occupation and colonization.
