I've just seen the movie, Surrogates at my local cinema. I was quite surprised at how much of a leftist element there was in the movie. It shows the sickening extents of consumerism and the movie is also set around a group of people called the "Human Coalition" who live on as simple farmers, workers and merchants in sorts of 'communes' around America and they aspire to lead a revolution against the consumerist/capitalist society. Was anyone else who saw this movie surprised by it, too?

I haven't heard of it, has it been a big release or is it just in a few small cinemas?

Big release. Well I live in Australia, so I assume it would've come out in the US which seems to be the predominant nation where most members of Revleft live since most major films are American. Anyhow most movies come out in America before Australia so it was merely an assumption. Strange though that no-one else has heard of it...

Nay, ditto in N. america, I have been to a few cities across a handful of countries and I continue to see ads for it. I think at least it is being promoted as a pretty mainstream film.
