Hey there, RevLeft:
I'm from the Pacific North West. The leftists here are like everywhere else... mostly opportunist and into having one big happy back slapping party.
And you can already tell I'm an "Ortho Trot." Which, btw, I think is a pretty stupid term, but sometimes I embrace it as it is generally thrown about by people trying to suck up to Imperialism in one way or another.
I'm a supporter of the International Committee of the Fourth International. Cue the shit storm. To answer the two most obvious questions: No, I do not support the AFL-CIO. Yes, I think Joseph Hansen was a GPU agent.
I became a communist in my teen years. I was in the Socialist Workers' Party, left because I realized a number of things about them. I floated around the Sparts for awhile, but for a variety of reasons (they're kind of nutty and obviously totally divorced from the working class) I never joined. Now I just read the WSWS every day and post on my little blog.
Not really sure what there is to be done about any of the shit going on right now, but I assume that once the contradictions sharpen so will resistance and that will give me a better idea of how I can contribute.
Looking forward to lots of spirited discussion. :D
