I understand regulation toward high finance and Wall Street but what about the small businesses? A lot of employers are finding it harder to emply people because of all the taxes, regulations, inspections, costs they have to endure at the hands of the local, state, and federal government. Isn't this a burden to them and the employees? I find all of the impositions of government on small business to be a huge detriment to the working class as they cannot find work because the penny pinching bosses are not hiring or laying people off. Isn't there a notion of too much or unnecessary regulation?

It seems like the bigger businesses get away with more things than the small ones considering all of the breaks and subsidies they received from the state and federal government.

It always is. Your last line summarizes it well. Capitalist governments work for the benefit of the corporations that control it. This is why there will never be true socialized healthcare in this country. Only government contracts and corporate handouts for insurance companies and the pharmaceutical industry.

Most of the regulations are brought on because of corporate needs.

One example are the safety laws which prohibit an American from legally purchasing prescription drugs from foreign countries. Another might be regulations which place severe limits on the numbers of new medical schools, or instances in which airlines have enacted (via their minions in our government) laws which make it every difficult for the public to finance alternate modes of transportation.

More importantly, property laws that enforce a boss's, shareholder's, or landlord's control of a company, housing, or resources, are regulations that should be abolished.
