A UK request for talks with President Obama was declined. Is the special relationship changing?

Yeah they are both "special" people. :cool:

The moral outrage about Megrahi's release in the UK is almost as bad as in the US. The snubs are probably to do with the fact that those other nations have things the US wants, much more than the UK does.

A few years ago, the UK finished repaying its debt to the USA from World War 2.
I wasnt paying much attention before, but since then there have been a few incidents of the UK acting against American interests. Only on a small scale of course, but it could be the beginning of something cool.

It won't unless the UK withdraws from Afghanistan. the UK has the second largest numbers of troops deployed in Afghanistan after the US.
