I am in need of some help. I want a movie to match up to the theme of class oppression. I have to choose from: Cry Freedom, City of Joy, In the Name of the Father, Schindler's List, Ghandi, A year of Living Dangerously, The killing Fields, China Syndrome, Silkwood, Dry White Season, Seven Yeaars in Tibet, Red Corner, Return to Paradise, On the 4th of July, The Rollover, 1984, Soylent Green, Little Soldier Girl.

I know 1984 does, but I am thinking of doing that or Animal Farm or Brave New World as my partner book for the movie.

Not that this is much help, but a couple of favorites of mine that kind of are in the same vein are The Millagro Beanfield War and The Grapes of Wrath by Stienbeck. Both about the plights and struggles of the rural poor.

The Milagro Beanfield is supreme.

Cry Freedom is phenominal. I don't think anything defines class devision like what those fucks in South Africa did to the blacks.
