I have read about all the cruel things America and the CIA have done in the past. They lie alot just to convice people to believe them and to weaken their oppenents.

So my question: Do you all think maybe America is changing books too? I mean both my Che's guriallia warfare and Karl Marx's capital are from America. do you think a nation would go so far as to change actual material?(They tried to do this to Che's bolivian diary).

Take care..p.s. sorry if this question has already been posted.

I know they change the spelling of almost every word. From Honour to honor from Labour to labour Jewellery to jewelry...its an abomination of the English language

Who published your copy of Guerrilla Warfare? I have a penguin copy that was published in the US but penguin is English so I don't think they would have allowed it to be changed much, or at least not in the days of yore, now they are following America more and more. *sigh*

sorry i'm not at home right now..i don't know the publisher. Its a red cover with Che's face on it(the famous picture).

in the question i meant more along the lines, of do you think if Che made a tactic that America couldn't handle, or a line in a history book that a country doesn't like, do you think they edit that stuff out?

in a book i read about Che, it said that after the Bolivians killed Che, they edited his diary and were going to sell it, but a copy reached Cuba before it could be sold, and they gave it away for free. But the point is that Boliva/CIA tried to change another authers work and distrubute it to harm him and his cause.

Do you think this still continues?

sorry if this is a stupid topic, its just something i have been wondering lately.

Well, it's certianly POSSIBLE though it's probably fairly unlikely, though it would be interesting to compare my copy to yours...
