Hi everyone...
I am a pupil from Germany, and involved in anti-globalisation and socialistic movements.
My parents taught me to think by myself and to be compassionate about the world (though these days I'm the "red sheep" of the family), but my real political "awakening" was only months ago (it was Che Guevara's fault...).
Since this time I tried to read about theory and history of the sociaist/communist movement, but I have the feeling that I know way too little to win any discussion. This is one of the major reasons why I joined here...I hope to read your interesting and informative posts, and ask questions.
The leftist community in Germany...well...in the last few years it grew bigger and even a really left party got voted into the parliament. And this is the problem: with the power comes the compromise and the hunger for power within the conservative state.
But, though, especially the youth is starting to feel the injustice of the system (billions to save banks while schools haven't enough books), and we are working to inform them about their possibilities to act.
I'm sure I'll enjoy the place. Oh, and please apologize any language mistakes I make. I'm a pupil and english is not my natural language.
