Folk activist Billy Bragg has reunited legendary Clash members Nicky "Topper" Headon and Mick Jones to re-record a spirited version of their classic "Jail Guitar Doors".
The track has been recorded in aid of Bragg's campaign, which takes its name from the song.
During the reunion, which marked their first time together in a recording studio for 27 years, Jones and Headon were joined on the track by Bragg and four ex-inmates who had been helped through his initiative.
Jail Guitar Doors seeks to help rehabilitate prisoners by supplying them with musical instruments. Since its establishment two years ago, several 'graduates' of the scheme have gone on to pursue successful careers as performers after their release from jail.

I was actually just listening to the Clash as I saw this. They are one of my favourite bands from that period. I remember seeing them play at the Apollo in Manchester when I lived in England.

A little known fact about the Clash is that the singer, Joe Strummer, was actually from here in Ankara.

Yes, his father was a British foreign-service diplomat and Joe was born in Ankara.
He also lived in Mexico City, Bonn and Cairo.
