Points for the capitalist "incentive"!
I received my first student support from the social services. I got the maximum support since I live alone, and yet I get 100euros less support than unemployed people.

In Croatia support is around 100€, so it's better to work shitty job...

Well, I do live with that support so it's not that bad, but it's as if the government wants me not to study.

Yeah. Only kids are unemployed for years because the labour market is steaming pile of shit. Obviously.

You fucking dick. .... What the fuck. Learn to count. Even if all unemployed were not kids, 65% of the site would still be, as unemployed is 25% and full-time workers is 10%.

Before you took your age out of your profile, I recall it saying 17 or 18. So don't forget, you are among the "bunch of kids" comprising the majority of revleft.

Personally I would put twenty years old firmly in the kid catorgory. I don't worry about people being kids though. Yes, some of them will grow out of politics and not be involved as militants and some of them will probably go on from university to nice jobs in management.

However, some will stay involved and many of those who drop out will in my opinion come back when the class movement gets stronger. As for those who will go on to management jobs, when I was a young man going to university was something that was mostly the province of the children of the elite. Now numbers have swollen and many children of workers go.

To go into a little personal anecdote about kids when we first met Leo who posts on here he was 16. He looked a lot older and when we heard it myself and the comrade I was with at the time were both shocked. He replied that they have hanged people for being communists at the age of 16 in our country.

I am not at all worried about there being lots of kids here. I would be a little worried if there weren't any.

.... What the fuck. Learn to count. Even if all unemployed were not kids, 65% of the site would still be, as unemployed is 25% and full-time workers is 10%.

This also assumes that all students are "kids", discounting mature students for example. Also the idea that someone can't be a kid and a worker is hilarious, but not as hilarious as...

I never had my age on display. But I am 20 years old..

...the fact that at 20 years old you feel qualified to judge a forum that averages around your age (a few years older in fact) that they are a bunch of kids.

There are several problems with your theory, I will just rattle off a few:

1. It depends on who responds to dumb poll questions, I like answering them, perhaps other unemployed workers like to answer polls. If I was at work right now... I probably wouldn't.

2. There are several thousand people who post, did you try to figure out your population size relative to your sample size?

3. There are people, like me, who know much more about stats than you. We easily can tell that a convenience sample is almost always non-generalizable.

4. People may just want to fuck with you. I only know of you from what I have read of what you post here, and I'm not impressed. Therefore I asked why you are asking. Maybe some other people, who are not as nice as me, know of you and dicked up your poll results... u don't know.

Go ahead and digest that.

Me too. Unwaged member of the reserve army of labour.

Sacked for pointing out to management that the government sponsored, benefit officer training software I was working on was loaded with anti-claimant lies. Irony eh! Still it means I rule them at the benefit office now. ;)

And at 55, no kid either. My original trade as a shipwright sold down the river 30yrs ago.

Im a full-time worker and proud to be so, I just wish that the economy could be structured to let everyone else feel that same pride (under the same circumstances i am under - getting a wage), and not structured to contain alot of people working in zero security jobs and people dealing with miserble unemployment.
