Recently my internet provider has become quite dictatorial and has banned peer-to-peer file sharing and anything to do with anonymizing or anything to do with proxy avoidance. So as a result the anonymizor used automatically by revleft on links get's blocked fx.

I really wish there where some way around this. :crying:

Does anyone have any good advice?

Which country are you in?

You should change ISP. Not allowing peer to peer downloads is insane.

Iceland and the provider is called Síminn. They are the same ISP that where offering an internet securitisor service which among other things would ban revleft.

I don't know what other provider doesn't do this. This hasn't been a problem since yesterday.

damage internet provider equipment and make anonymous public statement why you did it. you can maybe find where is their (coaxial) cable or you can destroy their satellite or wireless antenna.

Their censorship is getting quite hefty. They are closing sites labeled with the following classification;
Freeware and Software Download
Malicious Web Sites
Peer-to-peer file sharing
Proxy avoidance

Síminn ISP so happens to be a "gold partner" with Microsoft. A buddy of mine believes it's probably some overall worldwide Microsoft censorship tech-update affecting ISP underlings that's causing the grief.

That's fucking stupid. I would suggest switch to anther ISP, but first, make a real lot of stink. You paid for free, unfettered, Internet access. If they go around blocking websites, especially software download websites, then they should be fucked over.

Ring them up. Complain. Escalate up the chain of command. Ask to speak to the manager. Complain. Don't take no for an answer. Explain that you are paying for unfiltered Internet, and complain. And again.

Keep doing this until they get sick of you, and then do it again.

Oh, and email them. Complaining. Explain how it is against the law (even if it isn't). Get them to quote the law where it isn't illegal (rather than listening to them saying you have to quote the law).

Complain.

And then switch because they are bastards. :drool::cool:
