Has anyone read this before? Assata Shakur is really an amazing women, and her Autobiography, while highlighting the Racism in New Jersey and New York, also speaks to the problems in American society and how the Leftist movements were killed off in the 60's and 70's. Although she may seem racist at first she admits to Racism being something created by the upper class.... and to make things better she escaped to Cuba. Even though former New Jersey Governor Whitman put a $100,000 bounty on her head.

I've recently read her Autobiography and I agree that it was a really interesting book. It was amazing how with help from the Black Liberation Army and others that she escaped from prison and went underground to finally get exile in Cuba. It was also interesting see the similarities with her being arrested and that of Black Panther co-founder Huey Newton when he was shot and arrested.
