Well, how were the children born in The Giver? I know there were birth mothers but how did the whole process work?

ok i have no clue because how can they reproduce if the community supresses any sexual attraction through those pills? and they cant be clones because one would have to be killed like when Jonas' father had to euthanize that baby who was a twin. maybe the leaders of the community father the children?

Someone told me that they have "volunteers" who jerk off and collect sperm, but then that memory is erased. Then they drug the birth mothers to knock them out and inect them with sperm.

Who injects the sperm, I don't know. How they erase memories, it might have to do with the giver himself. It actually does sound somewhat plausable, if you think about it.

oi. the giver. how could anyone say they like that book? It is like Ayn Rand for fifth graders. All it does is bash egalitarianism the whole time, and it gives kids around the world the idea that socialism is to be feared, that we would all lose our individuality. It says that euthanasia is evil, and that individuality would be lost.

i spit on that book
