Soldier of life

Often I hear the argument from pro-free market capitalists etc that without multi-nationals so many jobs would be lost.
I would like someone to take me through the process of nationalisation of industries, especially once which require a high level of expertise say computer companies and such manufacturers, how the 'democratisation of the workplace' will be implemented in practise in these industries...and just generally the counter-argument to these prospective job losses 'without investment' from overseas or what have you.
Also on the issue of the banking sector. A common arguement against nationalisation is that borrowing will become impossible because internationally nationalisation is not seen in a positive light, I would like to hear the socialist reponse to this and how the state bank will then function.
