During the days of the Soviet Union I ve seen many so called writers who degenerated the concept of literature just in order to praise the acomplishements
of the unique party.
Should literature make compromises or should it be free from ideologies?

Arts in general aren´t free from ideologies, because of the complexity in itself of the creative work.
A different story is making art voluntarely towards or under and ideology or political environment. I think this can be positive if the idea -at least temporally- is to support justice and equality for all, but maybe not in the long run, I mean, if it´s beginning to cut the wings of creativeness and the work of art starts to fail into a dishonest product. If the artist is not honest anymore, then his work won´t, either.
HASTA LA VICTORIA SIEMPRE!
