I'm wanting to get some of her music, but I don't know where to start. Whats her best album?

Probably Blue (http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:w9fpxqw5ldje), but I'm not a big fan and haven't heard a number of her albums.

Yes, I'd agree that Blue is the best set of songs she's released: they're all, without doubt, beautiful. Some of her later stuff gets a bit pretentious and jazzy, but if that's your bag then The Hissing of Summer Lawns is a good one.

I'd go: Blue (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_%28Joni_Mitchell_album%29), Song to a Seagull (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Song_to_a_Seagull), For the Roses (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/For_the_Roses), Ladies of the Canyon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ladies_of_the_Canyon), Hejira (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hejira_%28album%29) - in that order.

Slammed by many at the time for (as bob suggests below) being too pretentious and jazzy, the album Mingus contains some of her best vocals imo.

Yes!

I don't really like any of her albums continuously, personally my favourite song of hers is Amelia, maybe that's one of the pretentious ones but whatever. :p
