Doublespeak, Newspeak, Oldspeak, and such. Help me out I don't it. Well I know newspeak is the new language, and oldspeak was the old. Newspeak was simplified as: good, notgood, verygood, and things like that. But did it represent anything? Doublespeak or doublethink, i think it was doublethink.

Double think. This is the idea of holding two contradictory ideas; yet accepting both. Such an example would be those War on Drugs freaks who think the Alcohol Prohibition was a bad idea.

The point of Newspeak was to essentially crush all thought crimes by shrinking the dictionary and vocabulary more and more until it got to a point where people could no longer commit a thought crime as they had no vocabulary to think with.
