anyone read it? its written by a guy called Jarrod (Jared?) Diamond. very really good, it describes the human development and where civilisations started etc. there's a great chapter about the spanish colonisation of south america and a battle between an incan king and pizzaro. a great book, highly recommended!

well have read half of it, then lent it to my friend, so I haven;t finished it but yeah amazing book, the author is Jared, and he also wrote I believe a book entitled "the third chimpanzee(or ape)?"
