Why is the youth communist league in Nepal getting so much more attention from media than in other countries?

btw...Does anyone know if the YCL in usa actually DOES anything (like protesting, giving public speeches, etc...)??

They make phone calls for the democrats and make really terrible appearances on talk shows.

The one in Nepal is probably getting attention (I've personally never seen much about it, to be honest) seeing as how the communist movement in Nepal is so active.

Yes. Nepal is in the middle of a communist revolution, so every communist organisation is going to get significant attention when compared with communist organisations in countries like the USA where there is no revolution.

the YCL in Nepal is a sort of mass fighting force with hundreds of thousands of members, aimed at advancing the revolution that is currently unfolding. Many of the people who are in the YCL are also PLA fighters, it is a way they can be in struggle during the ceasefire.

It is very different from the YCL in the USA, which is affiliated with the CPUSA, wich gave up on revolution many, many years ago.
