The Venezuelan revolution is going places! We need more people from Hollywood who think like Oliver Stone.

No we dont. Most of his movies are crap.

Platoon, Wall Street and Natural Born Killers are good though.
And he was screenwriter for Scarface.

Hollywood is a inhernetly bourgeois and reactionary, therefore this film will be in someway pro-capitalist propoganda.

Didn't Stone make a pro-Castro film? I thought he was one of the first people allowed to interview the man.

And he wrote a scence for Scareface -which was banned - where it started off with a speech from Castro, positing an alternative to capitalism. Tony Montana was supposed to be Stone's indictment of capitalism, someone who embodied all the ugliness and cruelty of the system.

Plus I liked U-turn.

The main thing Newsweek and Time and the NYT attacked Stone on was the idea that JFK was getting out of Vietnam. It has now been proven by virtually every single scholarly publication since the Corporate Media gang bang of Stone that JFK was getting out of Vietnam and the Military and CIA knew it. Yet so many on the left are conditioned into just pavlovian relations to the words Oliver Stone. Personally, his style is a bit too bombastic for me, but I admire his guts.

Oliver Stone is awesome. I love Natural Born Killers.

A perfect example of illogical anarchomoronism.
