View Full Version : This is not an introduction.

I have absolutely no idea what to post for an introduction. So, I will declare that I have no idea what to post for an introduction except to tell you that I have no idea what to post for an introduction, answer the questions provided in one of the introduction threads, and then restate how I have no idea what to post for an introduction, except to repeat what I just stated I would do.

Where are you from, whats the leftist scene there like?

I'm from a small town in Alberta, Canada. The word "nonexistent" would be a very accurate description of what the leftist scene where I am looks like. To quote Obi Wan Kenobi, "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy", than in my town. The closest example of the leftist scene I could give is that the local right-wing are like extraterrestrial zombies (sans the capability of logic that zombies have), and I am the sole Gordon Freeman without a crowbar.

What branch of leftism do you subscribe to?

I have absolutely no idea, which is the major reason I'm here. From what I can gather, I fall somewhere in the left, I just have absolutely no idea where. Because of that, I figure that if I stay around here long enough, I'll eventually figure out where I fall.

How did you become a leftist?

Family members, mostly. A few of my relatives are convinced that Ayn Rand and Ludwig Von Mises wrote the biblical equivalent of social and economic philosophy, respectively. Being the youngest in my family, I became the captive (willing or not) audience to any tirade about politics, philosophy, economics, religion, or any other topic they wanted. Something didn't sit right with what they told me, but I didn't have the vocabulary to refute what they said until I studied Poli. Sci. in college. After spending time studying left ideologies, I realized that the principles of the left made sense in light of everything I new about the world, while the right didn't. So, I became a leftist.

So there. I still have no idea what to post for an introduction, but I answered you questions and stated I don't know what to post for an introduction, so I'm assuming that qualifies as an introduction.

Good post, if not a little repetitive. It's a little repetitive, though. I think it could have been a little less repetitive. Yah... See, I am totally a comedian.

If you ever want to talk about ideology and categorical thought, come talk to me sometime. I'm pretty good at figuring out what kind of ideological school people belong to without trying to convert people to my beliefs.

I hope to see some posts from you soon!

You don't actually have to post an introduction thread. I didn't.:D
Welcome anyway.
