But I'd like to point out this specific paragraph
Blair spoke on a stopover during his family summer holiday in the Mediterranean where he was photographed and – not for the first time – criticised as a guest on Rising Sun, the five-deck yacht of American software billionaire Larry Ellison, anchored off the Sardinian coast.
So what he is basically saying is that everyone else's materialism is a threat the planet, but he can go around on big fuck off yachts when he likes. What an utter ****!

I can't help but think some of the enviremental crisis are being used by the governments of the world to further their agenda of exploitation. In this case I think its the workers and peasants (if you would call them that) of the "first world". Its pretty obvious anyone with intellegence knows harming the envirement is a bad thing. The politicans (under the control of corperate pigs) are taking advantage of the generally good nature of the workers.
My question is what do they want to be the end result?

Oh my. This reminds me of Sigmar Gabriel, our environment minister who is known for using Bundeswehr jets for even the smallest distances, criticising selfish car drivers who refuse to build car pools or to use public transport and therefore pollute the air, while a Bundeswher jet pollutes the air in one single flight more than an army of selfish car drivers.
My question is what do they want to be the end result?
Who knows, when it comes to new ways of exploiting people the governments have always been very creative and innovative. I think they want to bring up new environment taxes (which are - of course! - used for nothing but environmental issues...), e.g. they get never tired of criticising people who drive old cars and you get that many special pollution taxes that you finally give in and buy yourself a new modern and, of course, rather expensive car with all new "environmental friendly technics" and thereby help not only the environment but also the car industry.
