I am a Chinese environmental journalist, and now I hear a voice on the Internet: low-carbon economy is the machinations of imperialism. China can not be fooled. I am very confused. The Earth's environment is shared by human society. If the environmental problems, we will inevitably have to suffer. However, whether the developed countries should be more on the economic and political help to do the least developed countries to reduce carbon emissions? I know that there are international carbon emissions trading mechanism, which is beneficial to human society is still hard to say. Capitalist system is reckless exploitation of natural resources, it is obvious to all. Please talk about your views on the low-carbon economy. The best analysis from the perspective of what a socialist.谢谢.

It is true that the developed countries need to reduce their emissions because they make up the majority of the carbon emissions and so most of the pressure should be on them. China has become a big polluter even though it is still a developing country but it still needs to reduce their emissions as well. It needs to be an international effort.
People in Tuvalu have already become refugees, because the seas have risen so much recently, life has become harder for people on that island. Their Prime Minister made a passionate plea to the UN to do something about climate change, few listened. It's all words, no action, it's been that way for a long time. I don't think that Obama is going to change the energy policy substantially to have any real effect.

To me any carbon emission reduction policy it's a scam. They don't care about pollution, everything that is done is to fool most of the people that they actually do something about it when they don't.
We don't need some new advanced technology to produce more energy, we already produce alot. Wha't important is to reduce the need of the energy to what can be produce sustainable already, but that would mean changing 'the american way of life' so it's never gonna happen.
