Not from me, all four should go Socialist by themselfs and not as one. The English would still be in control and would give more help to themselfs and not the rest like they have done before and do up to this day. Socialist or not the Union is a waste

The exploitation of Ireland , Scotland and Wales was done because it served (at the time) a feudalistic system based on colonization . This was not done because they were English but because of the exploitative nature of the system and because they were a world power at the time.

Under a united workers UK we can pool resources to benefit the majority and democratically plan for the needs for all workers in the UK and not just of a minority of capitalists.

You are correct. Also, England could not afford to allow Ireland and Scotland any independence after it renounced the Roman church and because it had to protect its northern borders against Spanish and French encroachment.
