We have an old folk dance here too that's quite similar to breakdancing, Hallingdans (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hallingdal).

Exept that you win the girl by kicking a hat of a stick held high up in the air.

This is not true! I heard that breakdance has originated from a nefarious dimension-devoid of physical laws.

that was hell impressive, it's sad to think most of those guys are no longer with us.

Actually everyone, last year I was given a time machine by my mad uncle genius and I vowed to use it to go back in time and kill Hitler.
But first I took it back to 1972 boogie down Bronx and totally taught Buzy Bee and Grand master flash to break dance. You should have seen it! They were blown away!
I'm still gonna do the Hitler thing, I just been so lazy lately.

I think if US military intelligence had seen this the response would have been:
"Alright move along people, pack up your bags, Russia wins the Cold War.":D

That's definitely what would have happened. :D Another victory for the Reds!

Amazing dance skills!! Way more appealing than all those "army of one" ads if you ask me.

Yeah, that's a sick video of Soviet freshness...half that stuff would make my knees explode! I'd love to learn that type of Russian dance someday (do any Russian comrades know what exactly it's called?).

BUT, as a student of bboying, I gotta put up a video to show everyone what our working-class artform is all about:

So you think break dancing originated in Florida?
