Probably before Sunday. Would anyone like to say hello or have any questions for him?And even if you dont have question, maybe remind him of a specific argument or debate you had with him that was meaningful to you or something to reminisce about? I was thinking I would print out this thread for him to read.

Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've read your stuff (RS2k papers) and it's a major influence on my politics.

(Although currently I don't have any question exactly...)

Also, get well soon!

I can never really think of anything meaningful to say.

So... Tell him that you and I are trying to keep his memory alive on the board by not taking any shit from anyone. (and of course I wish him the very best)

Also tell him that in retrospect I believe that some of the posts he made carried an underlying national chauvinistic bias

Laughable. But I do know him personally, and hes about as unchauvinistic a man that ever walked this Earth.

He will read your post.

And FYI, anyone who posts something cruel or not on the topic of well wishes, I will removed them and damn them to hell fire.

lol

I was just messing around anyways
it's not as though there's any point in telling him that now, is there?

Ed, I quite admired your contributions to these forums
I continue to have many differences with your views
But nevertheless the discussions we had some five, six years ago (!!) were an important stepping stone for me
The fact that after such a long time, in internet terms, I still recall the fiery debates we had is a testament to that
I still find myself in many ways influenced by your politics
sorry for making that sound like an eulogy
cheers

Hello to redstar2000 from Russia and best wishes to him to get better. I'm waiting him to continue not ended thread:

He is the only person till today who became interested in the three economic sectors' model of the transitional period. I'm looking forward to catch the truth together. I'd like to see how he imagines for himself the process of abolishing the monetary system. Hope to see his posts soon and again great wishes to him to get better.

Wewll, as I joined the forum quite late I have very little of actual relevance to say, save that his papers made for a good read and that I wish him all the best. Also all his put downs were blinders.

Please tell him that even though I'm fairly new here, I say the greatest of wishes to him. I have respect for all fellow leftists, as they all take a role in bettering the apathetic, meaningless hell-hole that is existence. I am a great believer in equality, and everyone having their needs satisfied, and I say a sincerely worthwhile person such as him deserves nothing less than health and prosperity. If there's anything that makes me sadder than lazy greedy capitalist getting everything they want is considerate, committed, communists having to deal with the merciless cards that life sometimes deals them. And I say to him to stay hopeful, because that's what we all need right now. Sure, the Marxist-Leninists and the Anarchists are still on each other's asses, and there's a mounting series of global crises that are being made worse each day by capitalism, but the heart of a revolutionary (i use this term not necessarily in the literal sense) is that of a lover and a believer. Even though I may never meet him, or be involved in conversation with him, I do not let that make me lose any form of positive sentiment towards him. He is a teacher of this new wave of radicals, and thus he is our friend. I can promise he will go down in history as having grasped the real truth. As having been fortunate enough to see the light. As being a construct of and creator of everything that is good in the planet. I'm honestly a little embarrassed thinking that such a figure will read this.

Someone should make a "solidarity with redstar" group

Anyway, best of luck and um...bye bee.
