I was at a bookstore today and came across a Che Guevara book i had never heard of before. Now i have read i think every piece of Che Guevara literature that has bene published but was surprised at what i was holding in front of me. This book is titled "Back on the Road" by Che Guevara and is his diary on his second trip around South America. However i didn't purchase it mainly because it was over $30 Australian dollars, about $16 American, and i think that some of the pages and anecdotes are to be found in Motorcyle Diaries. Does anybody have any info on this?? I would really like to know. Thanks comrades. :)

Wow! No I personally haven't heard. did you by any chance check the copyright date? Is it a new release? Was it written by Che Himself or edited from a compilation?

wow i thought that book wasnt going to be published!
it was found after his death and it was never made public. it was found by his widow Aleida March.
kuel im gonna go and get it, maybe borders has it now

yeah but it's really expensive which is dodgy. Great research Paris. However i'm not yet convinced that it is totally different to the Motorcyle Diaries. Can somebody clear this up for me. They do not contain same journals or anything and are totally different? The Motorcycle diaries is about his first trip to latin america and this new book about his second trip? Right?

yah this book is a about his second trip and the next three years of his life. some of the pices were deleted by his widow though. im not sure if some of the motorcycle diaries are going to be copied into this one. or if any of these were copied into the motorcylcle diaries.

i read it, not as good as the first but interesting in its own right. quick and easy read.
