I've been a reader of the forum for a long time, so thought I might as well get involved with the debate while I'm here!

Ideologically, I'm an Irish Republican and a socialist. I have an interest in all shades of left wing opinion, and try to take influence from whatever aspects impress me best. At the moment, I like many Marxist ideas but wouldn't call myself a Marxist because I don't subscribe to core ideas like dialectical materialism.

Perhaps I'll start to adapt them as I read more about them. Right now I'm not certain but I'm willing to accept new ideas.
