Nepal Maoist CA member claims PLA on High Alert, revolt imminent

TGW
Revolt is not for pleasure however, the situation is such that we are forced to take on to the path for yet another revolt.
Kula Prasad K.C. alias Sonam, the Unified Maoists Central Committee member and the YCL Central in charge, made this grand disclosure while addressing a program in Tamghas of Gulmi district and stated that the Maoists Peoples Liberation Army was kept on high alert.
Mr. K.C. was inaugurating the YCL Gulmi First District Convention wherein he made this tantalizing disclosure.
He also told the Maoists cadres that the Party was preparing for revolt and that the new revolt will ensure rights of the people that is long overdue.
The YCL should play a decisive role in the next revolt, he added further.
Speaking on the occasion, the Unified Maoists Constituent Assembly member Mr. Chandra Bahadur Thapa urged his party cadres to attack the UML and the Nepali Congress cadres will full force.
If they say that the Maoists are no of use then I urge you all to pounce upon them immediately, he added

They probably shouldn't be advertising about it beforehand if they seriously mean it.

You mean like the Bolsheviks did? They had a public line struggle over it, Kamenev and Zinoviev came out and publicly said they thought Lenin was wrong to advocate rising up.

Anyway, with the below article, as with the other article I sent about the PLA being supposedly on "high alert", this comes from the bourgeois media and is by no means reliable. However, if it's true it signals that the Maoistsmay be preparing to really kick things off in Nepal. The national protest movement is just beginning, parliament is being prevented from sitting by Maoist CA members chanting slogans and the PLA is refamiliarising itself with guerilla warfare. The next weeks and months are going to be interesting.

Uncertainty at PLA cantonments

MOHAN BUDAIR

KAILALI, Aug 17 – Maoist combatants cantoned inside the seven camps across the country are losing hope of joining the natio-nal army since the government led by their party UCPN (Maoist) stepped down.
This is especially true among Maoist fighters inside Lokesh Smriti Brigade of Badaipur under the seventh division camp of People’s Liberation Army (PLA).
They have been asked to wait for transformation and peace, and at the same time remain alert against regressive forces. The soldiers are being told of the possibility of both war and integration at the internal training for PLA fighters inside the camp. Of late, guerrilla warfare has dominated the regular exercise session inside the camp.
Aakash, a PLA combatant of Lokesh Smriti Brigade says “The peace process is connected with our integration. There won’t be any peace if the PLA is not integrated.”
A PLA Division Commander, who was recently posted to the seventh division camp, said battle-hardened combatants are prepared for another war for the sake of transformation.
